CURRENT OPPORTUNITIES

Now Hiring:

Wellness & Engagement Coordinators Who Create Moments That Matter

At Better Days, we’re building a different kind of home‑based wellness experience — one rooted in dignity, curiosity, and the belief that every interaction can enrich someone’s life. Our Wellness & Engagement Coordinators work 1:1 with older adults to create moments that matter, starting with a casual, in‑person schedule of approximately 9 hours per week and growing as new clients join. As a Living Wage Employer, we offer $23/hour and a role designed for people who want their work to feel meaningful.

This position is ideal for postsecondary students in helping or creative fields, adults looking for a purposeful side‑hustle, and older adults who want to give back, stay active, and make a difference. While many agencies hire only PSWs, we hire differently—we look for people who can truly engage. PSWs are absolutely welcome, but only those who bring heart, curiosity, and genuine presence into every visit.

If you thrive on connection, love hearing stories, and enjoy sparking joy through creativity and conversation, you’ll feel right at home here.

What You’ll Do

  • Bring warmth, enthusiasm, and genuine presence into every visit

  • Use our wellness toolkit to turn everyday activities into meaningful experiences

  • Co‑create personalized engagement plans based on each client’s interests, abilities, and energy

  • Support clients at home or out in the community — walks, outings, creative projects, games, music, storytelling, and more

  • Encourage movement, connection, creativity, and joy through therapeutic recreation

  • Notice and document changes in mood, engagement, or wellness to support the care team

Who You Are

  • You light up around people — especially seniors

  • You’re curious, creative, and love hearing stories from different generations

  • You’re resourceful and able to turn simple moments into meaningful ones

  • You’re comfortable working independently and adapting on the fly

  • You believe in person‑centered care and want your work to matter

  • Experience in recreation therapy, community support, or senior care is an asset — but heart, attitude, and authenticity matter most

Why This Role Matters

You’re not “just” providing companionship. You’re helping someone stay connected, engaged, and emotionally well. You’re supporting their sense of identity, purpose, and joy. If you want work that feels purposeful, creative, and deeply human, we’d love to meet you.
